August 26, 2020: Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi has tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Confirming this Gogoi took to Twitter and wrote, “I have been tested Covid 19 positive yesterday. People who came in contact with me during Last few days they should go for Covid test immediately.”

Tarun Gogoi who is also a veteran Congress leader, has urged the people who came in contact with him to test for COVID-19 immediately.
