March 29, 2021: India recorded 68,020 new COVID-19 cases, 32,231 recoveries, and 291 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry on Monday.

March 29, 2021: India recorded 68,020 new COVID-19 cases, 32,231 recoveries, and 291 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry on Monday.



With this, the total cases in the country mounted to 1,20,39,644 including 5,21,808  active cases and 1,13,55,993 recoveries. The death toll has gone up to 1,61,843.



Maharashtra remains the worst affected state due to COVID-19 with 5,21,808  active coronavirus cases in the state.



According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as many as 9,13,319 samples were tested on March 28.



A total of 6,05,30,435 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country.
