October 27, 2020: With a spike of 36,469 new cases and 488 deaths in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 count reached 79,46,429 on Monday.

October 27, 2020: With a spike of 36,469 new cases and 488 deaths in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 count reached 79,46,429 on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.



As per the MoHFW, the COVID-19 count includes 6,25,857, and 72,01,070 cured and discharged cases.



Further, with 488 deaths reported due to the disease in the last 24 hours, the toll due to the disease is 1,19,502 in the country.



Maharashtra reported 3,645 new COVID-19 cases, taking its tally to 16,48,665, while the death toll rose to 43,348 with 84 fresh fatalities



Tamil Nadu recorded 2708 positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the state tally to 7,11,713. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state is 29,268.
