July 18, 2020: Another premier English football club Chelsea F.C. on Saturday took to Facebook to express solidarity with Assam which is reeling under flood and a surge in cases of COVID-19. 
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by the floods in Assam”, said the popular football club.
Earlier, another premier English football club Arsenal posted a five-second video posted on the social media handles, the football club expressed solidarity with the flood-hit state with a message that read, ‘We are with you’. ‘Stay strong, Assam,’ read the video caption.
Soon after Arsenal’s post, actor Adil Hussain, of the Life of Pi and English Vinglish fame, took to Twitter to throw light on the lack of concern shown by “celebrities, mainstream media and cricket stars” across India on the floods in Assam.
