January 25, 2020: Sardar Patel Stadium - the world's largest cricket stadium is getting built in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. The Stadium will open in March 2020.

As per reports, the Sardar Patel Stadium has built at a cost of Rs 700 crore and has a seating capacity of 1,10,000.

It has surpassed the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 1,00,000 people.

The exhibition match between Asia XI and World XI in March 2020 is likely to be the first match played in the stadium.
