August 3, 2020: The administration has imposed partial lockdown in Itanagar capital region from Monday.

While restrictions will be eased from Monday, restrictions in the containment zones will continue to be in place. This was announced by Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.

As per the new guidelines, standalone shops can be opened from 8 am to 5 pm while those along the highway can open on alternate days only. On Sundays, there will be complete lockdown.

Home delivery service in restaurants is allowed while public transportation is permitted with 50 percent seating capacity.

Meanwhile, the government has allowed home quarantine for people returning from other states and asymptomatic patients.

However, returnees will have to undergo rapid antigen test at the check gates and should test negative and be asymptomatic to qualify for home quarantine. But the homes must have separate, well-ventilated room with a separate toilet for the person to be quarantined. It will also require an undertaking to undergo five days of compulsory home quarantine.
