Aug 9, 2020: Congress in Manipur has suggested the Government to form a Cabinet committee for smooth management of COVID-19 in the State. MPCC vice-president M. Hemanta on Saturday lauded the government's efforts to contain the pandemic. But he said that despite the best efforts, the cases are still on the rise.

The Congress leader called upon the Government to form a Cabinet committee to deal with COVID-19. The former Minister also drew the government's attention towards shortage of testing kits.

Hemanta also asked the government to procure adequate testing kits and improving necessary facilities.
