Aug 6, 2020: The Congress has issued whip to its MLAs ahead of the August 10 Assembly session. Congress chief whip Govindas Konthoujam has issued 3-line whip for all Congress MLAs to be present in the assembly.

It also says all MLAs should fall in line with what the CLP leader moves in the Assembly.

Now no Congress MLA can stay away from the proceedings of the House during the session.

If any Congress MLA wants to move outside the state during that period, he will have to take prior permission from the chief whip.

If any MLA violates the whip, he may get disqualified.
