September 5, 2020: China's People's Liberation Army has allegedly abducted five youths from Nacho in Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.

September 5, 2020: China's People's Liberation Army has allegedly abducted five youths from Nacho in Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.



The five youths, belonging to the Tagin community were allegedly abducted from the jungle near Nacho while they were out for hunting near the McMohan Line. The abducted youth are Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri.





Two other youths, who were also part of the team, managed to escape. They returned to the village and narrated the incident to the villagers. The incident has created panic among the villagers.

Raising the issue, Congress MLA Ninong Ering said that PLA's action has sent a very wrong message at a time when defence minister Rajanath Singh is meeting defence ministers of Russia and China.





The kin of the abducted youths have appealed to the government to bring the five youth back to their families.
