December 2, 2020: At least 22 people including two Assam Rifles personnel have tested positive for coronavirus in Mizoram, taking the state''s COVID-19 tally to 3,847, an official said on Tuesday.



Of the 22 new cases, 13 were reported from Aizawl district, one from Serchhip and four cases each were reported from Champhai and Lawngtlai districts, he said.



While four patients have developed symptoms of COVID- 19, the rest 18 patients were asymptomatic, he added.

According to the state health department, the state now has 343 active COVID-19, while 3,499 people have recovered from the disease.



Mizoram has so far reported 5 COVID-19 deaths, all from Aizawl district.



The state has tested 1,50,738 samples for COVID-19 till date, including 1,677 on Monday. PTI COR RG RG
