August 1, 2020: Nagaland recorded the highest single day spike on Friday with 126 fresh cases recorded in the state.

On Friday, the state recorded a total of 1693 cases including 1052 active cases and 6 deaths.

Meanwhile, considering the rising coronavirus in cases, total lockdown was announced in Kohima and Dimapur on Friday. In Kohima, total lockdown was extended till August 7.

The District Task Force in Dimapur too decided to extend the ongoing partial lockdown, scheduled to end on August 2, has been extended from August 3.

Already, several locations in Kohima have been sealed in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.
