"The situation in Guwahati has gradually improved. So I think we'll have to live between this lockdown-unlock till August 15. Restrictions on opening of shops on one side to remain in force as of now. We are still studying the policy after August 2. But we can't let the situation go out of control again," health minister Himanta Biswa Sharma told DY365 on Thursday.

He also said that the rapid tests at shops and offices have received good response. "Yesterday, we did 3500 tests and today we are expecting more tests. If the testing goes on at this rate, I am confident, we will be able to flatten the curve by August 15."
