| In a press meet at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has admitted the fact of Bangladeshi infiltration in Assam. Accusing the opposition party BJP and AGP for playing politics in the name of Bangladeshi, Gogoi says that the state government is initiating adequate steps to eradicate the illegal immigration issue. He also commented that during BJP and AGP reign foreigner infiltration was existed in the state. At the same time, government will take necessary steps to ensure that no local minority people will be harassed in this process, Gogoi says. Gogoi also clarifies his recent controversial statement given in national news channel and says that the population increases in low rate literacy regions only. |
