August 1, 2020: Preparations are underway at war footing speed for the Bhumi Pujan of Ram Temple on August 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony besides a host of other dignitaries.



Tight security arrangements for foundation stone laying ceremony are in place. However, COVID protocols will be followed. Ayodhya Police has requesting everyone to not let more than 5 people gather at a place.



Only Covid 19 negative police personnel below 45 years of age will be deployed during the Prime Minister's  visit on Wednesday.



Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Ayodhya on Sunday to take stock of preparations for the Bhumi Pujan ceremony.

On August 4-5, prayers will be held in Mathura, Kashi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and Naimisharanya and texts of Akhand Ramayana will be recited.
