July 10, 2020: On Friday three more persons passed away due to COVID-19 in Assam. 



The deceased have been identified as Sri Ashok Jain (63) of Athgaon, Sri Vinod Kumar (47) of Jalukbari & Mrs Dipali Dutta (65) of Sarumataria who were admitted at GMCH and succumbed to their infection. They had severe pnuemonia & were on invasive ventilation.





Expressing grief Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted,” Sad & anguished to inform that 3 #COVID patients - Sri Ashok Jain (63) of Athgaon, Sri Vinod Kumar (47) of Jalukbari & Mrs Dipali Dutta (65) of Sarumataria admitted at GMCH succumbed to their infection today. They had severe pnuemonia & were on invasive ventilation.

The total COVID-19 cases now stand at 14600 out of which 9147 have recovered till now.
