March 31, 2021: The cumulative cases of the infections in India has crossed the 1.20 crore mark.

The Centre on Tuesday said the country is facing an increasingly severe and intensive COVID-19 situation in some districts and the whole country is potentially at risk and all efforts to contain the virus should be taken.

Over 1.20 crore people have been infected by the virus in the country so far according to the Union health ministry.

The most number of active Covid-19 cases have been found in 10 districts across India, including eight districts in Maharashtra, the most affected state in the country that has seen the highest surge in the number of infections.
