June 26, 2020: The Supreme Court on Friday permitted the Central Board of Secondary Education to issue notification on cancellation of remaining board exams of Classes 10 and 12 scheduled in July.

June 26, 2020: The Supreme Court on Friday permitted the Central Board of Secondary Education to issue notification on cancellation of remaining board exams of Classes 10 and 12 scheduled in July. 
The CBSE said it has modified its notification on assessment scheme for cancelled exams in July. While pronouncing the order, top court recorded that it agrees with the CBSE scheme of assessment.

As per reports, the ICSE board had decided to cancel pending examination scheduled to be held from July 2 to 12.
Both the CBSE and ICSE informed the Supreme Court that board results can be declared by mid-July.
The details of assessment for CBSE student who do not want to appear for test will be published by July 15.
It further said that for students who have appeared in the examinations in only three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.
