January 21, 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to get Covid-19 vaccine in the second phase. Besides him, all the chief ministers above 50 years of age too are likely to be vaccinated.

The move is seen as a measure to instill confidence among the general public about the efficacy of the two Covid-19 vaccines.

The government has already announced that after healthcare and frontline workers such as police, armed forces and municipal workers, the third category to be vaccinated is to be people over the age of 50, followed by those who are below 50 but suffer from co-morbidities.
