June 17, 2020: The COVID-19 pandemic in India has crossed another grim milestone of 3.5 lakh mark on Wednesday.

According to the Health Ministry, 9,900 COVID-19 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours with 380 deaths, the total number of coronavirus cases in India increased to 3.5-lakh with 10, 914 fresh cases.



More than 10,000 new cases have been emerging every day for over a week now.



The number of active coronavirus cases in India increased to 155,227. Over 50% of total coronavirus patients were recovered from the disease.



 In Maharashtra the death toll in the state jumped to 5,537. The total number of coronavirus patients in the state stood at 113,445. Maharashtra is the   worst-affected state by coronavirus pandemic in the country.



Delhi's COVID-19 death increased to 1,837 on Tuesday. 93 people death in the last 24 hours.

With 1,859 fresh coronavirus cases, Delhi's COVID-19 tally inched towards 45,000-mark.



 Tamil Nadu on Tuesday 1,515 people tested positive for COVID-19.  The total cases included 61 returns from other countries and states. Over 900   cases reported in Chennai today, taking the tally to 34,245.
