July 15, 2020: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the forward areas of Ladakh on July 17. The announcement came a day after the commander-level talks between India and China held on Tuesday. 

Singh, who was scheduled to visit on July 3, will interact with the soldiers deployed in the frontier areas.

He is also likely to meet the soldiers who were injured at Galwan clash and the ones undergoing treatment at Leh. The Defence Minister, accompanied by Indian Army Chief Gen MM Naravane, is also likely to visit some forward posts where Indian troops are deployed.

Meanwhile, the 4th round of the Corps Commander Level Talks between India and China had continued for 15 hours on Tuesday. Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh, Commander of the Leh-based 14 Corps led the Indian delegation, Major General Liu Lin, commander of the South Xinjiang military region had led the Chinese side.

The meeting, which was held at Chushul of Eastern Ladakh, started at 11 AM on Tuesday and concluded at 2 AM on Wednesday. However, the details of the meeting are not known yet.
