September 8, 2020: Senior actor Jayaprakash Reddy has passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh following a heart attack. He was 74.



He slipped in his house bathroom owing to cardiac arrest and eventually lost his life.



Jayaprakash Reddy who is fondly called JP made his film debut as an actor with Brahmaputrudu in 1988. He shot to great fame with Samarasimhareddy. He played villain in many faction films such as Jayam Manadera, Preminchukundam Raa, Narasimhanaidu, Vijayaramaraju, Chennakesava Reddy. Besides, he sported comedian roles in many films. He was last seen in Sarileru Neekevvaru released during Sankranthi season, 2020.



An expert in negative roles, Jayaprakash is popular for his Rayalaseema accent. He acted in over 100 films.

JP, who was born at Sirvel, Allagadda of Kurnool district had worked as a teacher before entering films. He used to play dramas and finally became the busiest actor in Tollywood. JP is known for his typical Rayalaseema dialect with which he generated great entertainment in films.



Jaya Prakash Reddy was known for his villainous and comedy roles. His most popular films include Samarasimha Reddy, Preminchukundam Raa, Narasimha Naidu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Julayi, Ready, Kick, Jayam Manadera, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Avunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, Kabaddi Kabbadi, Evadi Gola Vadidi and Kithakithalu to name a few.



Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief on the passing away of Jaya Prakash Reddy.
