September 6, 2020: Two persons have been arrested for impersonating as ULFA by Gorchuk Police in Guwahati’s 9 Mile on Saturday night.
They have been identified as Niranjan Basumatary and Namsang Marak.
As per reports, the duo has been accused of demanding money worth 1.5 lakh rupees from a businessman of Meghalaya’s Byrnihat area.
The police had arrested both of them while they were on their way to demand the money.
