September 2, 2020: One more leopard has been trapped in Maligaon’s Adingiri hills on Wednesday night. 



On August 26, a leopard was trapped in a cage set by the forest department of Guwahati State Zoo cum Botanical garden after a 6-year-old child was mauled to death by the leopard on August 21.

The incident which took place at the peak of monsoons has shocked the locals and they had a firm belief that there were more than a single leopard are in the vicinity. As per reports, three tiger traps were set up in the area to trap the man-eater leopard.



Total of two leopards has been trapped so far in the Adingiri hills.
