November 30, 2020: A stray leopard created panic in areas near the Hengerabari Housing Colony on Monday morning.

The leopard was spotted at the residence of Nikhilesh Barua. A passerby saw the leopard sleeping in the verandah of the house and informed the owner. The house also has a girl's hostel.

Soon forest department was informed and after much effort, they managed to tranquilize the leopard. But is suddenly jumped from there and took shelter at a garage of the housing colony.

However, the forest department team was able to cage the leopard unharmed.
