July 11, 2020: Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi has tested positive for COVID-19 today. 

He tested positive following his AG test. It may be stated that previously he had tested negative.

Earlier two other KMSS leaders, Dharjya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal had tested positive for COVID-19 who are currently undergoing treatment at GMCH.

The three of them who were imprisoned at Central Jail Guwahati got infected by the virus at the jail itself and were unwell for the last couple of days clearly showing symptoms of novel coronavirus.
