November 17, 2020: The Azara police on Monday night arrested 11 fake army jawans from the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.

The arrested have been identified as Dhimankrishna, Ganesh Das, Rupam Sharma, Saurav Sharma, Ripunjay Goswami, Jaymoni Sharma, Nayanjyoti Gautam, Bijaymoni Sharma, Dwijen Sharma, Gyananda Das and Kaushik Nhuyan.

They were loitering around the LGBI airport when the police got suspicious of their movement and arrested them.

Police informed that one of the arrested Dhiman Krishna had arranged fake I-D Cards from Hatigaon and army uniforms from Missa army camp and Maligaon. He lured the other 10 youths of recruiting them in the army and accordingly issued ID cards and uniforms.

Police recovered a 4-wheeler and five 2-wheelers from them.

Further interrogation is going on.
