October 16, 2020: The deal on the Assam Police Sub Inspection Examination paper leak was finalised at the official residence of Karimganj SP, reveals initial probe.



The CID grilling former Karimganj SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna and other accused has got some crucial leads in the case.



The deal to leak the paper was finalised on September 18 between Krishna and Rubul Hajarika, employee of Akshay Telecommunications for Rs. 40 Lakh. Rubul paid the amount to Krishna at the official residence of the SP. As part of the deal, Sanjit's PSO called up the reserve officer carrying the question papers from Guwahati to take the papers straight to the SP bunglow.

The packets of question papers reached the SP bunglow at around 10.30 PM that night. Rubul Hajarika too reached there in a vehicle of Akshay Chand Vaid. After finalising the deal, Rubul Hajarika and his driver spent the night at the Police Guest House.



It is to be mentioned that the examination was scheduled to be held in two centres of Karimganj.
