July 28, 2020: Amid the rising cases of COVID-19 across the state of Assam, the city of Guwahati seems to have slightly relieved as the number of cases has dropped over the past few days.

On Monday, only 155 cases were detected in Guwahati city, state Health Minister informed.



Taking to Twitter this Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 1348 new #COVID cases (Guwahati - 155) detected in Assam out of 21742 tests done in last 24 hours.



Our low positivity rate of 6.19% is encouraging.

Recovered 24040



Active cases 9447



Deaths 86

It may be stated that the COVID-19 cases in the state has crossed 33000 mark on Monday out of which 8085 are active cases and 25402 patients have been discharged or recovered.
