November 20, 2020: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Chhath Puja.

The Chief Minister said that the celebration of Chhath Puja would strengthen human values and promote harmony and camaraderie in the society. Worshipping the sun god with humility and devotion would bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all, he added.

He also said that since the festival is all about abstinence, purification and discipline, the observance of Chhath Puja would give strength and zeal to the society to overcome challenges like COVID19.
