May 11, 2020: The number of COVID-19 cases in Assam have risen to 64 as two persons tested positive in Guwahati on Monday. One infected person hails from Morigaon and another is from Guwahati.



State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert ~ 2 persons are tested #COVID19 in Guwahati. One originally hails from Morigaon, while other is from Guwahati itself".

Active cases of COVID-19 in the state are now 22, as one person who had tested positive here had left for Bihar and 39 were discharged.



Positive cases for COVID-19 were reported so far from Golaghat, Nalbari, Morigaon, Goalpara, Dhubri, South Salmara, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Cachar, Hailakandi, Bongaigaon, Jorhat districts.
