October 27, 2020: A young swimmer from North Guwahati namely  Kamal Krishna Das, a class 8 student crossed the mighty Brahmaputra river in just 27 minutes on Monday.

October 27, 2020: A young swimmer from North Guwahati namely  Kamal Krishna Das, a class 8 student crossed the mighty Brahmaputra river in just 27 minutes on Monday.



Kamal began his swimming from Guwahati's Kharghuli and reached Madhyam Khanda, the other bank of North Guwahati in 27 minutes.



It may be mentioned that Kamal had earlier saved two women from drowning after a private ferry capsized in North Guwahati on 5th September in the year 2018, for which he was awarded the National Bravery Award by President Ram Nath Kovind for his exceptional act of bravery.
