November 2, 2020: Sanjeev Sharma, the newly-appointed Inspector General of Seema Suraksha Bal, Guwahati Sector has feared that large scale violence could mar the coming Bodoland Territorial Council election.



Sharma, who took charge on Monday, also asserted that every effort would be taken to maintain security and tranquility at the Bhutan border.



On the issue of illegal arms in BTAD, he said strict vigil would be kept. He also assured to check activities of timber smugglers and poachers along the international border with Bhutan.
