August 13, 2020: Come August 15, the people of Guwahati may expect some additional relaxations in the lockdown restrictions. There is a possibility that the night curfew period may be reduced and more activities may be permitted after the expiry of UNLOCK 2.0.

The government may allow all activities permitted so far between 5 AM and 9 PM from Monday to Friday. The Inter-district movement is also likely to be allowed from Monday to Friday. It may also permit the city buses to ply subject to maintenance of all COVID19 safety norms.

The night curfew timings may be changed to 9:30 PM in stead of present 6 PM. However, there's no possibility of opening of Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, etc.

The UNLOCK 2.0 will expire on August 14. The Chief Secretary is most likely to make a formal announcement on the fresh guidelines before the Unlock 2 ends.
