April 18, 2021: 876 new COVID-19 cases has been reported in Assam out of 43,268 tests conducted on Saturday, informed National Health Mission. The positivity rate is at 2.02%.

Out of 876 new cases, 360 were detected from Kamrup (M), 56 from Kamrup (R), 47 Sonitpur and 42 from Dibrugarh.

Two persons from Kamrup (M) and Kamrup (R) have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

The total number of COVID cases in the state has now rose up to 2,23,816 and death toll up to 1,129.
