October 1, 2020: The 66th Wildlife Week was inaugurated at Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden in Guwahati today.

State's Minister of Environment & Forest, Parimal Suklabaidya launched the program which was attended by senior forest officials, nature conservationists, media friends & other dignitaries.

Along with the launch, the minister also laid foundation stone for the construction of a 5 storeyed building which will replace the existing divisional office of the zoo & will be equipped with all modern amenities.
