November 20, 2020: The United Liberation Front of Asom(ULFA)-Independent has appointed a new in-charge for its western command.

Major Jishnu Asom of Western Command has been given the responsibility of leading the command, informed a press release issued by the outfit's Commander-in-chief Lt Gen Paresh Baruah.

His appointment will come into effect from Friday.

The post fell vacant after Drishti Rajkhowa had surrendered before police and army last week.
