November 28, 2020: Keeping in view the requirements of short-distance rail travellers, N.F. Railway has already decided to run four pairs of short-distance Special Trains from first week of December, 2020. Now, three more Special trains will be run from 1st week of December. Along with these Special trains, the services of Special Trains between Guwahati and Silchar will also be extended from 1st December till further advice with revised timings.
(1) Short-distance Special Trains with effect from 01-12-2020 (Six days in a week):
Train No. 05895 Rangiya – Murkongselek Express Special will leave from Rangiya at 08-50 hrs. on everyday except on Saturday to reach Murkongselek same day at 20-50 hrs. In return direction, Train No. 05896 will leave from Murkongselek at 06-30 hrs. on everyday except on Sunday to reach Rangiya same day at 18-10 hrs. The trains will have stoppages at Goreswar, Tangla, Harisinga, Udalguri, Rowta Bagan, Majbat, Dhekiajuli, New Misamari, Rangapara North, Balipara, Dhalaibil, Nizchatia, Viswanath Charali, Nizbargang, Helem, Gohpur, Dubia, Tatibahar, Harmuti, Kathalpukhuri, Silanibari, North Lakhimpur, Lilabari, Siajuli, Boginadi, Subansiri, Gogamukh, Bordoloni, Jiadhal, Dhemaji, Moridhal, Sripani, Sisibargaon, Silapathar, Archipathar, Dipa, Chimenchapari, Telam, Laimekuri and Jone Karang . There will be 13 general second class coaches apart from 2 luggage vans in the train.
(2) Two pairs of Special Trains between Sealdah and Saharsa:
(a) Train No. 03169 Sealdah – Saharsa Special will leave from Sealdah two days in a week ( i.e. Tuesday & Thursday) at 20-10 hrs. (w.e.f 01-12-2020) to reach Saharsa Jn. at 12-15 hrs. next day. In return direction, Train No. 03170 will leave from Saharsa Jn. two days in a week ( i.e. Wednesday & Friday) at 14-50 hrs. (w.e.f 02-12-2020) to reach Sealdah at 07-20 hrs. next day. The train will run via Purnea Jn. and will have stoppages at Naihati Jn., Bandel, Ambika Kalna, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Salar, Khagraghat Road, Azimganj Jn., Jangipur Road, Nimtita, New Farakka Jn., Malda Town, Samsi, Bhaluka Road F, Harischandrpur, Labha, Katihar Jn., Purnea Jn., Banmankhi Jn., Murliganj and Dauram Madhpura. There will be one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, eight sleeper class and four general second class coaches apart from two luggage vans in the train.
(b) Train No. 03163 Sealdah – Saharsa Special will leave from Sealdah five days in a week (except Tuesday & Thursday) at 20-10 hrs. (w.e.f. 02-12-2020) to reach Saharsa Jn. at 12-45 hrs. next day. In return direction, Train No. 03164 will leave from Saharsa Jn. five days in a week (except Wednesday & Friday) at 14-15 hrs. (w.e.f. 03-12-2020) to reach Sealdah at 07-20 hrs. next day. The train will have stoppages at Naihati Jn., Bandel, Ambika Kalna, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Salar, Khagraghat Road, Azimganj Jn., Jangipur Road, Nimtita, New Farakka Jn., Malda Town, Samsi, Bhaluka Road F, Harischandrpur, Labha, Katihar Jn., Semapur, Karagola Road, Kursela, Naugachia, Thana Bihpur Jn., Narayanpur, Mahesh Khunt, Mansi Jn. and S Bhakhtiyarpur. There will be one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, eight sleeper class and four general second class coaches apart from two luggage vans in the train.
(3) Services of Special Trains between Guwahati and Silchar extended till further advice with revised timings from December 1:
Train No. 05612 Silchar - Guwahati Express Special will leave from Silchar three days in a week (i.e. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) at 22-10 hrs. to reach Guwahati at 08-40 hrs. next day. In return direction, Train No.05611 will leave from Guwahati three days in a week (i.e. Monday, Thursday and Saturday) at 17-30 hrs. (w.e.f. 02-12-2020) to reach Silchar next day at 04-45 hrs. The special train will have stoppages at Katakhal, Badarpur, New Haflong, Lumding, Hojai and Chaparmukh. There will be one AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tier, five sleeper class coaches and two chair cars apart from two luggage vans in the train.
All these trains will be run as Special Trains. There will not be any unreserved accommodation in these trains and persons with confirmed tickets only will be allowed to undertake journey.
