July 4, 2020: In a recent development, the dead body of the driver namely Niranjan Mahato who was missing since last three days after the car fell into the river has been recovered on Saturday.

Reportedly, the accident took place at Sisibargaon in Silapathar region on Thursday. The accident happened as the railing of the bridge over Gelua River was broken following which the car fell down and went under water.

The family of Tankeswar Kalita from Lakhimpur's Lilabari was coming to Silapathar to attend a marriage.

The dead bodies of father and daughter duo named as Tankeswar Kalita and Kuku Kalita who was stuck in the car was recovered on Friday.

Earlier, on Thursday, locals had rescued the other two members who were identified as Sarumai Kalita and Riki Kalita.
