November 19, 2020: The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Assam unit is not going to have alliance with the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) in the 2021 assembly polls. The party's Assam unit president Ranjit Kumar Dass will formally place the proposal to severe ties with BPF to party high command tomorrow.

Dass, however said that the alliance with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will continue.

He also informed that Bodo leaders Biswajit Daimari and Immanuel Mushahary will join the BJP in a grand function on November 22 in Tamulpur.
