November 27, 2020: NTPC, Bongaigaon employees and CISF, NTPC Bongaigaon unit have joined hands to empower youth of nearby villages for future challenges.

Under e-voice (Employee Voluntary Organizations for Initiatives in Community Development) initiatives of NTPC Bongaigaon, the helping hands team distributed sports shoes to 80 students of nearby villages of Salakati, Kokrajhar at the CISF Barrack, NTPC Bongaigaon for assisting and equipping them for various physical training activities for constable and other allied recruitment examinations.

In the programme scholarships were also distributed to the three students Tridib Basumatary, Pronob Basumatary and Pankaj Barman of Disha classes, an initiative of free coaching camp for local students by employees of NTPC Bongaigaon who have got selected in Assam Polytechnic Entrance Exams 2020.

Rahul Gautam, DC, CISF, NTPC Salakati handed over the shoes to the youth in the distribution programme in the presence of NTPC employees.

It is pertinent to mention that CISF, NTPC Bongaigaon unit is imparting physical training to the youth and NTPC employees are training them for the classroom training free of cost.

The distribution programme and the scholarships is funded by employees of NTPC Bongaigaon under the e-voice initiative who believe in shaping the future of the youth of nearby areas in the right direction and guiding them to be competent for all future challenges and opportunities.
