July 12, 2020: A picture of India's only 'Golden Tiger' spotted in Kaziranga National Park, Assam goes viral in social media. It is the only golden tiger currently known to be alive in India.
The photo of the rare tiger was taken by Wildlife photographer Mayuresh Hendre on 2019 but the picture went viral after the Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared on Twitter.
Taking to the Twitter IFS Parveen Kaswan informed, “Do you know in #India we have a Golden #Tiger also. Only documentation of such big cat in 21st century on planet. This by Mayuresh Hendre. Look at this beauty”.
According to Kaswan, this is the only documentation of a golden tiger or the Golden Tabby tiger in the 21st century.
