Imprisoned KMSS leaders Dharjya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal test COVID-19 positive

July 09, 2020: Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leaders Dharjya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal have recently tested positive for COVID-19. 



Both of them, who were imprisoned at Central jail Guwahati got infected by the virus at the jail itself.



Following the swab test result both of them were first taken to GMCH and later to Sonapur Covid Hospital where due to lack of empty beds they were kept moving from here and there. Reportedly, at the end they were made to spend the night in the terrace of a building.  Later, in the wee hours of Thursday morning they were admitted at MMCH.

On the other hand, the swab test result of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi is yet to arrive.



It may be added that following the order of NIA Court the swab test of the trio were conducted.
