November 19, 2020: The Indian army and Tinsukia police in an operation on Wednesday night apprehended another key ULFA(I) leader, 2nd Lt Prantik Asom from Pengeree Tinsukia. Arms, ammunition and war like stores were recovered from him.

Security forces claimed that the apprehended cadre was not only the chief of logistics and administration as well as member of think tank of one of the operational camps of ULFA(I) in Myanmar, but also a close aide to their leader - self styled Lieutenant Colonel Arunodhoy Asom.

The apprehended insurgent and recovered items were handed over to Tinsukia Police for further investigation.
