The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 28791 - out of which 9368 are active whereas 19350 of them have recovered successfully. The death toll has risen to 70 in the state.



Informing this Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 1047 new #COVID19 cases detected in Assam on July 23, with 219 in Guwahati City alone.



With 19,000 + tests in 24 hrs, our positivity rate is a tiny 5.25%.
