November 22, 2020: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today chaired a meeting of Sodou Asom Karmachari Parishad at the conference hall of Chief Minister’s block in Janata Bhawan and discussed several demands of the employees of the State government.

​Addressing in the meeting, Chief Minister Sonoweal said that for the implementation of government schemes, the employees of the government are working very assiduously. He said that government is taking steps to fulfilment relevant demands of the employees. He at the same time urged upon the employees to sustain their dedication for the government to expedite the growth of the state. At the meeting Sonowal also asked the Finance Department to settle retirement gratuity.

​Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma while speaking on the occasion gave brief details of various steps that the government has been taking to dispose the claims of the employees.

​The meeting also elaborately discussed employees’ health insurance, new pension scheme, teachers’ earned leave, travelling allowance etc. and highlighted the steps that government has already taken to meet the demands. Chief Advisor Sodou Asom Karmachari Parishad Basab Kalita who was present at the meeting also made a submission of various demands of Sodou Asom Karmachari Parishad.

​Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Paban Borthakur, Additional Chief Secretary V. S. Bhaskar, Principal Secretary Finance Samir Kumar Sinha, President Sodou Asom Karmachari Parishad Pradip Dutta and host of other functionaries were present at the meeting.
