September 16, 2020: The Assam government is yet to handover the report of the Committee formed on the implementation of the Clause 6 of Assam Accord to the Centre.



"The high-level Committee constituted by MHA on Clause 6 of Assam Accord submitted its report to Assam Govt, " informed Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy.



In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on 'whether recommendations on Assam Accord has been submitted by Panel to Government, he said "the recommendations are under examination of the State government."

Meanwhile, the minister in a written reply in the Lok Sabha also said that the CAA has come into force from January 10. Regarding the detention camps, he informed that such camps are being built to keep illegal foreigners and declared foreigners staying in detention camps for more than 3 years are released from the camps.
