June 21, 2020: 133 new COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Assam on Sunday, taking total number of COVID-19 cases to 5,388.

Out of 133 new positive cases, 73 are from Kamrup(M), 31 from Nagaon, 18 from Jorhat, 5 from Udalguri, 2 each from Golaghat and Majuli and one each from Dhemaji and Tinsukia.

Taking to twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 133 new #COVID19+ cases reported in Assam. 73 Kamrup(M), 31 Nagaon, 18 Jorhat, 5 Udalguri, 2 Golaghat, 2 Majuli, 1 Dhemaji, 1 Tinsukia. Total cases 5388, Recovered 3202, Active cases 2174, Deaths 09.”

So far nine people have lost their lives and three have been migrated.
