July 12, 2020: The number of COVID-19 cases has crossed 16000 mark in Assam with 535 new cases detected on Saturday.

Out of 535 new positive cases, 410 cases are from Guwahati alone.

Till now in Assam, 5607cases are active and 10426 cases have recovered successfully. The death toll has risen to 35 in the state.

Taking to the Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Alert ~ 535 new #COVID ve+ cases in Assam, 410 in Guwahati alone. Hold on to care, precautions & hope a little longer. We shall win over #COVID together!
