November 5, 2020: Assam Police have arrested two forest guards at the Kaziranga National Park for their alleged involvement in the smuggling of rhino horns.



The two men identified as Bimla Saikia and Sabir Ahmed Laskar were s arrested on Thursday.



Reportedly, the smuggling of rhino horn in Kaziranga was running in the leadership of these two guards.



 Two more guards who were involved in the smuggling are absconding.



With this, the number of forest staff arrested for Rhino horn smuggling has gone up to twenty five. Among these ten were permanent staff members in Kazirnga National Park while the others were temporary staff.
