Gogoi, who is undergoing treatment at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital for Covid 19 had a sudden fall in Oxygen saturation to 88% at 11.30 PM. The team of doctors supervising his health immediately decided to give 1 unit of plasma with 2 litres of oxygen on Mask, tweeted Dr. Sharma. The minister, who himself rushed to the GMCH to personally monitor the health of his mentor, said that the saturation now is maintained between 96 to 97%.

Dr. Sharma, who stayed at the GMCH for nearly 3 hours also spoke to Gogoi's son Gaurav Gogoi and briefed him about his father's condition. He assured that the team of doctors is constantly monitoring the former chief minister's health and now there's no cause to worry.

Gogoi was tested Covid positive last week and has been treated at the GMCH since then. On Sunday evening, Dr. Sharma had visited him at his cabin and took stock of his condition.
